Many times, i have faced the situation in which there are strong objections to me having a relationship right now with whoever.

My parents are really traditional and religious.

Like Christian SHOULD marry Christian and all those things.

im not saying it is a bad thing but when i was younger, i just accepted everything as it is and never really thought much about it. Now that, i 've grown and matured over the years...i really wonder to myself sometimes, " Is it a necessity that my partner i love be someone of same religion to actually share a common vision of what we perceive as Love? "

My mum has kpkb (Kao pei Kao Bu) regarding my r/s with SY.

It is always the same few topics.

He is soooo young (which i re-iterate to her, HE IS THE SAME AGE AS LAONIANG K.can't blame his cute babyface right? HAHA. )
He hasn't entered army ( which hasn't initiated him into a....ahem, " MAN ". y' knw what they say about NS and transforming Boys to Men. LOL.)
He has yet to enter uni/embark upon his career (the same goes to me, i will meet better guys in Uni who are more 'suited' for me, blah blah. Furthermore, he retained one year = Impression left is not very good. Why you retain one year, blah blah. My mother stereotypes.. That's really it.)
He does not have the means to provide you with financial stability. (yah, i love you, you love me but what you survive on? air? love? you gotta be kidding right. )
He is NOT of the SAME religion. ( His ideals and mine will clash which makes me question if christians does set christians apart. what is religion to one if you don't practise what you preach? And many times, i have seen Christians behaving in a way in which i facepalm myself....so yes. Im not discriminating any group or religion here. Just proving my point of which having a religion/set of beliefs does not necessarily mean you're superior to one who does not have the same ideals. That's just illogical. FULLSTOP. )

And really so many others that i can list at the back of my hand.
sighs, so on the exterior, i might seem like our r/s is going smoothly but truth is, we're both facing so much unfavourable conditions, it is hard for me sometimes to believe what am i fighting for in this r/s.
Like what SY said: " it is us against the world. "
We're both gonna try and make it work as much as possible.
Yes, it is tough but we have both made a commitment to strive towards better things for ourselves.

sorry about the backdated post!
i just returned from my facial today.
I did extraction & Chemical peeling and for the first time today ( in a very very long while), i didn't have to remove my makeup today.
NOT A SINGLE OUNCE.
i saved a good 15 mins on the removal.
But i wouldn't complain.

For me, i would say this again: Makeup is God.
it can really enhance a person's features when done correctly.
That said, i have no problems with people going "natural beauty".
THAT IS YOUR LIKING.

i can't settle looking ordinary, im sorry.
i was not born perfect, so i always have this crazy perfectionist streak in me.
somewhere in me, i wish to be drop-dead gorgeous.
but for now, i guess makeup will have to suffice to help fix my ugly face.

We managed to get a little visiting done and i was feeling sooo much better!

When i was showering, the tears and the water mixed as one fluid. One single stream.

i hate to look weak, it is unlike me.

i hate it when night comes and all the activities of the day come to a grinding halt.
some people find relief in times like these, to catch fourty winks or curl up with a good book and relax.
For me, i hate it because in my own head, my own thoughts are so loud, if i place them in a room.

been terribly busy and tired and did i mention...sick?
not just any kind of sick.

i initially had a fever when i was working last saturday and it is quite ridiculous that my boss didn't believe me..
he thought i was pulling a fast one and tryna' escape from work simply because it is SATURDAY NIGHT (-__-)
didn't help my boyf happened to be in town and he wanted me to stop working because my body + neck was burning hot.

i went to watch " The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo " yesterday with A.

it was an R21 movie and he bought the tickets beforehand and thank God, it was an afternoon movie, so i snuck in w/o much difficulty.
#AcheivementUnlocked! hehe.
OH YAH, I ALSO SNEAKED IN WITH GONG CHA.
HAHAHAHAHA WIN.

on the whole, i thought that the US version of this movie did live up to expectations!
the director didn't spare any humanity in the rape scenes and it was brutally and explicitly illustrated to the audience but the main actress, Rooney Mara (yes, she has a boy's name) did a great job in her role.
Daniel Craig is commendable by keeping the whole show anchored with his calm potrayal of the detective, securing the whole show which is graphic.
This film despite its lengthy showtime of about 2h 30 mins, moved fast with the plots never having a dull moment and its a great thrilling who-duunit kinda movie.
Overall, 4/5 stars for this movie! :)
sexual, very very edgy, thrilling and violent.
Pretty much my style, so no complains! HAHA.

I went for my job interview today and my dear boy decided to accompany me after his school to gimme some moral support.

Headed out to Clarke Quay to meet bb and his friends + his cousins from M'sia.
He was sorta baby-sitting them. HAHA.

Decided to wear a pink flora dress i got from Supre when i was holiday-ing in Australia.
i love the brand Supre! If only, it came down to Singapore.
It is like Cotton on, only nicer and better :D

Decided to spam more eye-makeup and im wearing the falsies i got from the Flea @ Scape too!
it is super cheap (like $6 for 6 pairs) and the lashes look so real and gorgeous!

After the drinks, we went to walk around clarke quay abit!

And there was a mad rush for cabs.
Everyone just stands ahead of the other trying to flag the cab.
and you see them cutting queue and going forward till like the traffic light or the opening of the road (-__-)
and its like everyone is damn fierce.

YOU HAVE TO RUSH FOR YOUR CAB KIND.
some people just stood on the road to 'block' the cab....damn crazy and dangerous.

And one more thing, i know clubbing is fun and all.
but when i saw girls/guys pissed drunk- it was SOOOO NOT COOL.
they were like slumped everywhere and puking or having their friends console them and pat their backs, etc.

Me and Sweeyan have made a compromise.
IF WE EVER GET DEAD-DRUNK LIKE THAT, JUST HOLD OUR HEADS IN A HEAD-LOCK AND PASS US OUT.
I rather be passed out then to like be a burden to my friends and start shit-talking. HAHAHA.

So, we took the first train back to H's place @ Sengkang!
We all changed and bathed- so clean (^_^)
And we all just fellt asleep at like 8am when the sun was up.

But overall, the most awesome countdown in my 18 years to date.
to be with my loved ones.
When he kissed me and wished me a happy 2012 and the night sky was blanketed with the pretty fireworks..... it was undescribable

fave lash glue!

Since i often receive formspring questions regarding my falsies and what kind of glue i use.

i shall share with you guys my fave lash glue!
I think xiaxue uses it too (NOT TOO SURE ABT THIS), i did see her posting a picture of this tho!
Anyway, its from Marie Beauty and i grabbed mine from the Flea stores @ scape!
$6 for multiple usage is a good investment, i'd say! :)

So, i posted how the inside looks as well.
You have a tip which makes it wayyy easier for application onto the lash line of the falsies!
So, i hope this post clears up some doubt over the glue i use.
I don't really like the sasa in-house brand one. Not very sticky.

This glue is FAMAZING.Freaking Amazing.
you can do somersaults and drenched in water (ok maybe not so extreme) but it still sticks!!!!
But you must take care as you risk pulling out yr own lashes when wiping it off.

But still, overall my fave lash glue! :D

The word itself seems daunting.
i would say, it has been ONE HELL OF A RIDE.
There were SOOOO MANY UPS & DOWNS.
and honestly, it was Down, Down, Down (THOSE IN HC WOULD KNOW WHAT I MEAN) and it has got better only after A's has ended.

So, im gonna list the top 5 things in 2011 which i found most memorable :)

1) GETTING TOGETHER WITH ♥ ♥ GREEN RANGER ♥ ♥ (aka Lau SweeYan)

People usually would fantasize about fairytales where their Prince Charming sweeps them off their feet and all. And i'm no different.

But from the past experiences, i grown a hard protective shell over my soft inner core- to protect myself from guyz/boyz.

I was hurt from the past but i don't show it. It is not like me to be all vulnerable.

i hate being weak and looking helpless. But then, when HE first added me on facebook, i never knew things would turn out this way.

All i can say and those who know how we started, is.....

But honestly, w/o my close friends like Qifan/WenQi/JR/10S79, i would have died during this journey.

THE WHOLE RIGOUR OF SG EDUCATION SYSTEM- SERIOUSLY SUFFOCATING.

You always have to be on top of the food chain.

i seriously feel like pointing the middle finger and flash it to the whole auditorium and say:
" Fuck This Shit, Everyone. Not everyone is gonna be a doctor. Deal with it. "

BUT...OF COURSE NOT. AHHAHA, I WOULD BE EXPELLED :P

oh well, me entering HwaChong has been sucha contrast to who im- fun-loving/crazy/spontaneous.

I should've been to VJC. But i guess things work out in a strange way.

3) Malay Dance SYF 2011-
HC MCS: Silver but Gold w Honours Winners in my (♥) :)

We went thru so many bruises and so many practices for SYF.
We had bonding sessions over food (JUNK FOOD! Hahaha tskkk.) and we stayed till 8pm @ SALT centre just to perfect our routine.
I rmbr the exco breaking down due to stress and all :(

Even though the memory is distant and we have moved on, i will always remember the feeling when we left the stage after we performed.

I will remember how beautiful each one of you looked that day- the makeup, the whole complete dressing, and yes, this includes THE BOYS! :)

I will remember how we shed tears of pure happiness- knowing we came and we conquered.

we held ourselves well on the stage- full of pride, head held high, being the only non-malay MCS, we never let that deter us.

I had sucha wonderful time in MCS and made so many friends.

I would never trade it for anything else :')

Terribly hot 'n' cold weather these days.

So, i was feeling hungry and decided to nom nomz on my favvvv oyster mee sua + Crispy chicken from KE KOU WEI.
Its like this pseudo shihlin snacks. The oyster mee sua is da bomb :D
I feel like some pregenant woman when i eat it, hoho!
It makes me warm and fuzzy and hairpee! 8)

Chewanmushi went to get TAI MEI? (hope its spelt like that) Cripsy Tofu Fries! (it was pretty interesting to eat tofu cut up like fries. kinda healthy -its not potato but unhealthy cuz its deep-friedddd.)

We were waiting for this particular sheesha place to open and the funny man said: "COME BACK AT 5."
So, we went window-shopping at all the nice artsy-fartsy shops.
And we were so tired from shoppping, we just sat at the wooden bench to camwhore! HAHA.

On this day, 25th December, the whole world unites to celebrate.. Christians rejoice in the birth of Jesus, non-believers find joy in the company of loved ones, families get together again, lovers confess or affirm their adoration, kids awake to presents from “Santa”, even #foreverloners will inevitably find a reason to smile while trolling on Facebook or tumblr.. there’s just a certain magic in t...he air and day.

Personally, Christmas is the day I finally found.. peace. I can’t quite explain it, but for the very first time this year, I just felt completely at peace with a new, but familiar warmth in my heart.

It made me ponder on a certain analogy I came up with through the night.. 2011, like every year, is yet another race. A marathon. Through the entire route, at different points we ran, we walked, we fell, we got lost, we felt breathless, fatigue and emotions overwhelmed us. There were the competitors who belittled us, overtook us or even tried to shove us right out of the race. There were the supporters momentarily cheering by the sides along the way, and there were the occasional few who paced along with us on this run. Yet, they could not run the entire race with us. No. Because it’s our run, our life. Not theirs to run or finish for us.

At many junctions, the cheers of the once-loud supporters faded, we perhaps lost our direction, picked up an injury, thoughts of incompetence and giving up started seeping in.. yet, no matter how lonely, painful, tiring it got.. we trudged on, every step bringing us closer to the finish line.

And here we are on Christmas day. Crossing the finish line of this year’s grueling run with our loved ones and the true friends who‘ve endured and lasted the entire race with us, there waiting for us with open arms of love and pride. I personally reckon Christmas is like the significant mark to the end of the entire year’s journey where euphoria and a sense of indescribable emotion hits you for making it through to the end. And then New Year Eve’s like the celebratory after-party.

2011. We laughed, we cried. We learned a lot about others, we learned a lot more about ourselves. Our lives changed, we changed, people changed. We lost or had to let go of a few people, we gained or discovered who or what will always be true. Obstacles slowed us down, drama distracted us, challenges and emotions tested us. But we grew up, grew stronger and more mature. Through everything said, done, and whatever we’ve been through.. we made it. We fucking made it.

Remember this.

Because it’s going to be another bloody crazy race ahead again.. but comewhatmay, we’re going to make it like we did in 2011. So go wild and celebrate. Appreciate life, love and the people who matter.. it’s our party. We deserve it.

just got back from sleepover with BB + his friends.
Cheers to Henry's mum for her convincing my parents to allow me to stay over, heh.
it was so awesome to celebrate my very first christmas with my bb beside me :3
in fact, with bb- i have exprienced many new things with him.

Loving him more and more each day.

i feel safe, falling asleep in his arms.
i feel comforted, knowing that he is mine for now.

i feel happy, that i love him and he loves me back.

So, i met up with peter sometime back.

we settled on drinks @ Covelli.
Its this really cool and chill-out watering hole/restaurant @ the basement of Orchard Central.
Unlikely place to have a bar.

But its really cool that no one disturbs you and there aren't much people to jostle for seats with you.
And did i tell you how freaking HUGE the chairs are??
I FELT LIKE I WAS ALICE IN WONDERLAND.
THE CHAIRS WERE SO BIGGGGGG AND COMFYYYYY.

Warm Apple crumble with Vanilla Bean Icecream.
It was not too baaddd.
Portion was huge though- easily shared by 2!

It was a short but nice catch-up.

I had a very diffused and random sleep.
I think i plonked down at around 6am.
got up at 10 sth by bb and went back to sleep till 12noon.

BB had tuition but my dear boy sent me home first! (awww)
it was truely sucha magical christmas ;)
all the vodka shots/chivas/booze we drank last night. still too mild.
HAHAH IM BEGINNING TO THINK MY TOLERANCE FOR ALCOHOL IS RLY NOT TOO BAD.
